My Weakness

This post probably won’t turn out as good as I intended it to be. Since I tried to type this up once before when suddenly firefox decided to hang on me, so then I open back the page that time my draft completely blank jor, sheesh.

Anyways I think I recently think I’ve found out why I can never study properly. Often at the beginning of terms things always seemed fine. Morning would go to lecture(or not), after classes will instantly revise lectures liao, It seemed easy enough and that nothing would have spoilt the plan. And then comes the individual assignment, then the group projects, and in addition to that the gen-ed assignments lagi(not to mention the occasional outing…..here and there…..). And suddenly I just get all messed up. continue the lecture then study routine, I’d be leaving assignments to last minute, then later assignments don’t turn out good also no good. Then if do assignments, then the routine gets messed up then eventually exam results gonna have problems. Haihz finding out the root cause of a problem is great, but then again……..what would actually be better is if I actually knew how to eliminate the problem……sigh

Most of you would probably know by now that I’ve become a fan of anime nowadays. I don’t really think anime’s a contributing factor to my poor exams results tho. Its probably the only thing that keeps me going. Like imagine study like shit until sien dee …….take 20 mins off to relax is not too bad. And unlike your regular 45 min series, its not that addictive, since most anime episodes each have their own beginning, middle and end. Unlike some damn smallville and lost keep me at the edge of my seat day after day……toot.but yeah I think got the anime interest thing quite under control I hope. Probably gonna add some titles to that list on the right there.

Also since we’re tlaking about anime, me recently learnt about Cosplay haha. Yeah we all know it. I first saw cosplays once in gurney. Back then I remember the people there all dressed up in their characters……males looked really silly, girls ……..also quite silly lah. Yea so back then really really bad impression in that …….”hobby”? Then me came across this, its got like really really good quality cosplays. Finally there’s a place where fugly weird cosplayers have been filtered out. If you stick around that site long enough you’ll probbaly get a good idea why I like the site so much, they even categorise the cosplays according to anime, BEST.

My hard disk is gonna fail me liao lah……*cry* me keep adding and adding, now summroe have to mvoe stuff over to laptop drive and summore had to DELETE some stuff lagi!!! now just trying to get by day by day, hoping the hard disk will try its best also. hmm……

In other news, Red Alert 3 in on its way!!! wah me so excited lea, even more excited than when they released Command and Conquer 3. Me personally prefers Red Alert series that the Tiberium based series. Thos this time instead of intro-ing the basic Allied and soviets, they gonna add Japan in lagi, swts. Me seens some screenshots of the game dee and spotted some Japanese Tanks…….once u see that u’ll realise the creators of the game have watched anime too. You ever noticed that ever since the Gundam series, the Japanses just won’t stop making mecha after mecha after mecha…….and naturally in this game…….we have King Oni, a humanoid robot walking about the battlefield……. Somehow I feel this 3rd installment is going to be quite sci-fi. But then Graphics requirements for the game gonne be damn high ler me thinks. Saw the water rippling effects of the game already can tell liao……hmm……Me wants COMP!!!!

Well since we talking about weakness today we’ve covered weakness for studying, gaming, and anime. I probably don’t have to go through my weakness in tv series anymore since I’ll constantly reminding you guys about it. I’d talk to you about my weakness for cute things but then I think that’s be a whole new post on its own, haha.

okay lah me just gonna end now and fill in that anime list for now.

Okay Day

Today is an Okay Day. I’ve never felt as Okay as today for quite a while. I’m not really sure why actually. it feels pretty much like any other day, and yet, I just feel very okay today.

Woke up as usual today, all lazy and unmotivated.But then still managed to drag myself to breakfast in the very very cold morning, take nice hot shower, then head off to class. Even in lectures was pretty normal, listen lsiten 20+ minutes then eyes left 50% open, then 30 minutes in eyes open every minutes for 5 seconds……until finally 1 hour finishes and eyes return to normal. then ofcourse normally have to repeat the cycle for another hours lecture. But since this next lecture today was more intended for first years, seconds years all cabut like mad until all the lecture hall’s entrances kena bottleneck.

Went back just rest and watch finish a recent anime. The anime was KimiKiss. surprisingly a really nice high school love story anime, quite liked the story, it was mainly based on these 3 friends all finding love in high school. Sadly this story somehow managed to make all 3 characters be involved in some sort of triangle love with ppl. So end up no matter how well u imagine it……there’s like definitely 3 people end up sad in the end of the story, sad sad. Well yeah if possible try check it out lah.

Later in the day got Hospital visit. This term was extra special cuz we actually get to go to Children’s hospital lea….. Today was only just an introduction thing only tho, in other words we jsut tour around the hospital saja lah. We’ll get to talk to young patients some time soon I hope. But yea really cool experience lah I think. Their children’s hospital looks so nice lea, the walls all decorated really nice, and they summore build playrooms for the children. Even more geng they have this really cool looking “Pod” thing I call it cause its like those little space crafts that you could use to send the last son of krypton to Earth with. hehe. But yea the pods not super special, but what’s inside them is what’s really cool. Each pod has a Gamecube inside and some sorta arm holding a giant monitor on top of it, so basically its like a Mobile Gamecube thing. Okay Its probably very confusing so I wun bother trying to describe it.

But of course hospitals are still not very happy places in the end lah, and children’s hospital just makes it so much sadder sometimes. You can see bunch of kids all like below 10 mia with the tubes and stuff. But I guess they sorta been able to cope with that sorta thing to some degree dee since they’ve had it for quite a while. Damn sad one is saw 1 little baby like about 1 year old saja, got both legs in casts and suspended by like 0.5 kg weights and the right hand also splinted, hen the left hand got some tube thingy lagi…….just lie there lidat, can hardly imagine how many ways it can still move……sad sad.

Today exam results came out liao. Sigh of relief for passing. It still not exactly up to standard results. still close to failling marks loo i guess, but pleased to know that its not fail and not borderline thing anymore.  What makes me worry was that I actually felt that term was a relatively easy term, and yet only scored lidat nia. This term looks like got tonnes of shit more than before, dunno if I can do it anot……hmm……. better not repeats history like last year again lah that’s all I asking for. Pass all the way can dee…….

all having their season finale by end of May liao. and of course there’s also those that didn’t even show anything since last year.(Heroes ar……!!!!!) So I dunno how Imma gonna live until september liao lidat. June till Sept…….hmm at least July till August spent at home ok still, but still got 3 months to kill…. hiahz. Then also……..as u can see 11 series listed there…….by September all 11 are gonna start new seasons, whoa lidat I mah also gonna die also??! Why lah lidat all u people just has to do Season Premier and Finale all in same month one?!! very bad marketing strategy lah…..

Yea so overall I think that was my day lah. didn’t really seem like anything special, but somehow I joke up today and there was just that feeling in me saying “Today is going to be, and will be an Okay day”

recently apparently UK ppl freaking out and for some reason posting alot, dunno whether if that’s relevant to why I’ve been posting quite often as well. Just feel so motivated when other people are writing as well.

Blogs stats are looking better these days, or not…..sorta……maybe. for some reason it flutuated between 20 and 2 for the past 4 or 5 days, the graph keep turun naik turun naik……..haihz…….also apparently an old reader has returned or something, cuase apparently someone bothered to read all the way back to the Time Travel 3 months into the past post, which is quite a fee posts back.

well recently just confirmned my ticket back to go back middle of the year. flying back on 29th june, arriving penang somewhere near 11pm. Returning on 20th july sometime at night.Here the cool thing about this plan alright? flying back to sydney on 20th night>arrive in sydney 21st July early in the morning(like 6am early)>pergi lectures at 9am wakakakakak, talk about spending every moment possible in penang…… What sucks about this plan,……..I seriously doubt I’ll sleep on the flight, which means I’ll be compensating in the lecture……but oh well first day call it go to hell lah. Another thing pissing me off, med is starting 1 week earlier than all the other courses again!!! bad enough they started our classes during orientation week, now this time they wanna do that again to us………wah crap man…….

Recently had a lab class, ho ho we get to cut rats………ok its not as fun as it sounds. I was so excited the day before the prac, by the time see the dead rat in on the table…….red eyes(white rat mah) still open and apparently you can’t close them…….and the teeth just all showing lidat…….and and!!! if you actually hold it when the lab assistants just handed it to you, its still warm…….means its just been killed moment before the prac. I get why they need to kill it late, to keep things fresh or whatever, but it sorta makes me think that it might not be confirmned as dead……..which just gives me the chills.

So basically we had to do vaginal swab……yes, it means sticking the swab into the rat’s……ahem……….wah just feels so wrong…… next up need to cut open liao………hehe surprisingly the prac group I got assigned to only me and another guy saja, rest all girls. But in the end its girl that do all the cutting*hehe* apparently got this girl in our group that came from country town sorta farm place……and she’s apparently castrated dozens of cows…….so……cutting a rat isn’t so much trouble for her.

So cut open loo, wasn’t as hard as expected seeing how the she was doing it, all use scissors cut cut nia, not blood or anything also……really neat work, seemed alright until she cut open the thin memebrane separating fur from internal organs. WAH! once that membrance open u can see intestine loop here loop there, and also starting to get some sorta foul smell coming out liao. By that time I also started feeling kinda sick dee. But well managed to go throught everything without making a scene lah I guess. So yea following that just cut out the rat’s uteruses(aha! rats got 2 uterus mia, u girls lousy lah……lol) weight here weight there.

Apologies if the stuff above grossed you out, at least din provide photo right? Well other than that …….me going to finish of that freaking gen-ed museum visit homework tomrrow, visit that last museum down in Circular Quay at long last. Phooi Sin said got fishrman hat down in circular quay……hopefully still got lah, me dunno why been wanting to buy one of them fisherman hats for quite a while dee, hopefully can find tomorrow lah hehe.

How You Doing?

Leave the blog unattended for just a few days and what do you get? blog stats plummeting to 1 or 0 views again…..that’s what. haihz….so I guess I should update on some stuff lah. Just a few things on my mind at the moment.

Number 1, we learnt to play with a sphygmomanometer, sounds cool right? but actually its just that device doctors and nurses use to measure blood pressure, bet most of you guys reading this didn’t know that, doctor’s children, did u? well I didn’t do so well on my first few runs( didn’t do well is defined as you pump the cuff to squeeze ur frens arm then then forget to release the pressure after you’ve taken the reading for 3 times continuosly, so sorry Michael). Think me needs more practice, so hoping to buy one then experiment around, wkakakaka.

Number 2, just talked to beng hoong again recently, well not exactly recently, its just that normally he’s always talking to me about games and stuff about people in Penang. This time he talked to me about uni choices. Talked about how he’s got trouble choosing which uni to go to. whether to go government to save money, or to go private for…….some other reason……whether to study pure chem or pharmacy……..pros and cons of stuff…….Overall that’s not exactly what I was thinking about. What was more going through my head at the time was about how a lot of other people had to make difficult decisions about their Uni. Guess in a sense I was kinda lucky that I got a clear choice to make when UNSW came along, otherwise I’d probably be deciding between IMU and Monash Malaysia. Still even so, I don’t really that’s really that big a decision since I for one didn’t have to worry that much about financial issues. Heard a lot of stories about other friends who had to decide between multiple Unis, each with their pros and cons, each with their payment deadlines…..so it kidna makes it really difficult for them I think. Sien, Shi Lin, Hean……think for us it was easier cause there was an obvious choice to pick the better one, and also the fact that money wasn’t that big an issue(dun start, sien). Whereas when I think about people like Boon Teik having to gamble away NUS to have a go at MIT, Beng Hoong juggling IMU, MU,NUS and who knows what other………I guess its sorta a harder decision for them. Its sorta more difficult for them cause they don’t have a clear indicator of what is best, and the decision they make may very well decide their future.Its just something on my mind, Don’t think I really described it that well when I put them in words, but yeah, that’s thought number 2

Thought Number 3!!!Phooi Sin came over, with Phooi Yee lagi!!! woot!! haha I don’t know when it started but I used to always tell Phooi Sin how pretty her sister was, and she’d start saying that I was after her sis. Nowadays I also dunno why but I’m playing along with her in this little game…….Her sister is 22 btw, and I’m turning 20 this year in case u tak tau.

Thought Number 4!! Celebrated Hong Gee’s birthday recently, apparently she has the same birthday as Hean( I think Hean’s told me this more than 3 times already, and Hong Gee’s probably told me once or twice as well but still I feel like I jsut found out), well too bad me can’t celebrate with Hean lah. But anyways celebration with Gee instead……went to this Thai restaurant, quite the overrated, food normal and restaurant also quite average(but they applied mirror effects to make it look bigger, very smart and very effective), the girls were going crazy with the camwhoring even though it only 4 girls and 6 boys, you wanna see pictures I believe facebook got tonnes from jocelyn dee and more coming from phooi sin I bet.

The birthday was a surprise, furtunately for phooi sin’s visit, we were able to disguise the birthday party as a gathering to meet phooi sin. So hong gee, left the house still thinking that she was jsut attending a dinner to meet phooi sin. But then reach restaurant saw her housemates and coursemate who langsung tak tau phooi sin that time…….sort of leak out liao lah, haha. Nonetheless was very meriah that night, even though most guys didn’t know each other, was able to make quite some small talk among each other, which was really good, girls also talk like no tomorrow, haiyo luckily “I”/”Me”/”Xiang Jie” was there to assume comtrol ar……otherwise everyone will actually cakap until 1hour plus and still duwan to order food, damn paiseh lea u guys ar……*shake head* So yeah then finally order food, then girls take picture like mad again, I caught some of the action due to “strategic location”, see below.

all other guys were sitting opposite side of the table, wakakakkaa. I think this is how this evenet ended up in thought #4. so in the end Birthday cake birthday song, cut cake, eat finish , laugh laugh laugh, balik rumah.

Thought #5, just need to update on studies also, fuck it this term so much work no chance to breathe, well I guess thought 3 and 4 were sorta proof of breathing space, but yeah its gonna way big problem coming up liao. canceled plans for ski in melbourne dee, now making plans to go home so can participate in the not-fun-without-me-class-reunion. Also in order not to repeats history need to to really work hard on this term.for those that don’t know, at this time last year, I “barely” passed that exam. yeah and barely not like you A class people define that as below 80 or smth lidat, I’m talking about seriously BARELY pass, as in I lose 1 more mark and I’d have failed. Just again another reminder, this is not the same as the one as to how I failed the exam end of the year. To summarise, middle year>nearly fail, end of year>completely fail. So last year was a pretty bad year for me, still hoping this year turns out better, don’t wanna humliate myself in front of first year also mah……

Ok lah i’ll stop here lah, shouldn’t have written so much also in 1 post, end up u all read 1 time liao wun come visit anymore and my blog stats end up going super low again again after 2 or 3 days.

Chrono in the Big City

Wah today again damn sien so think gonna post again, very happy to see the blog stats going up lidat, haha, seldom get over 20 views……hmm…… Well today went to city to do the damns stupid museum homework thing lah. Sadly have to go down all alone cuz everyone else like sangat stress and busy. I guess visiting museum isn’t exactly something people find interesting either anyways. So yeah go down a lone loo, kinda felt it’d be scary u know…..I mean, alone in the big city like that. Luckily had trusty IPod by my side all day, played really good songs all throughout the trip.

So first stop wanted to go MSY dulu, its basically a cheap computer store loo, was hoping to buy HDD before go for the museum visits cause the shop is nearby and closes real early on Sats, but then realise pocket no money and ATM also not much money…… sob sob, have to abort mission and contiue with museum thing.First stop, Powerhouse Museum, wah damn shit that place, doing some Princess Diana memorial, the queue super long and the staff member no lousy handling the ppl….
the queue barely moving, I kena stand there tunggu so long for a ticket. Lagi worse……I saw at the entrance the entrance fee was 5 dollars, check my wallet, chun chun 5 dollar left, whew. Sampai my turn to buy ticket that time……..”that would be 6 dollars sir”……….erm…………err…………TOOT!!! ur entrance say 5 dollar wor……*sob**sob*……….thank god the guy nice enough let me in with 5 dollars, whew, abo have to cari ATM, withdraw money and queue up again, that’d be damn shit. Museum was really big, 3 floors of super a lot of stuff.Most stuff not that interesting lah, all the ancient trains and instruments so boring. Then got this part about electronics……haha they like promoting UNSW lidat, showing all the Solar Panels UNSW has made……lagi tulis “UNSW makes the best solar panels…….with 25% efficientcy…….bla bla bla” , a lot of UNSW solar tech crap there, hee hee. Then there’s also the part on robotics, they had this robot on display, its jsut a robotic arm but really entertaining, can’t really explain how its like, should show u guys if got the chance.

Next stop, Australian Maritime Museum…….this time takut no money liao so wen ATM get like 80 bucks prep my self……/gg…….sampai the place………”1 adult ticket please”……..*takes out wallet*……….”here you got sir, entrance is free”…………..Zzzzzzz. But I guess its quite understandable why its free tho, its way smaller than the Powerhouse museum and definitely much more boring………

Habis the Maritime museum and go cari bus balik liao loo…… Overall the day was alright, alone in big city wasn’t as bad as expected, but then realised I still not really familair with the area, actually navigated myself around the city with a tourist map still……had to frequently stop at street junctions to confirm my location…….but still…….still a nice experience I guess……..again wanna thank iPod for being there for me……

Post Exam…..

So….yeah exam just ended so i figured it was a good time to do and update. Furthermore blog stats have not been showing good numbers these few days.

So! exams……..I dunno what’s it gonna turn out like this time. Hopefully no more failing loo. Yeah you’d probably think that normally when u finish an exam you’d know more or less about whether you’ll fail anot. But well I really did try much harder than before if that’s what ur asking, but then this time mia question…….so confusing and dodgy……so question I read and read and read still no idea what the dude wants. End up have to write a bunch of crap for him hoping something there goes right. So end up still really unsure about the outcome this time.

Aside from exams……I guess been recently re-hooked to facebook I guess, Met some interesting new people…and met old frens(its amazing how a primary school group is able to reconnect old frens) and ofcoz there’s all those new apps I’m being intro-ed to. Firstly came Rong’s Scramble thingy, not bad lah can train word power, but dunno why I always play always lose mia, play until point more than rong dee but still lose rong mia……like so wtf…….basically that game I only play if ppl(by people I mean 90% of the time by loong) invite me to play. Otherwise I’ll save the humiliation. Another game……Friends For Sale, stupid crazy game, just basically buy fren here and there nd everyone gets more expensive, dunno why so damn addictive, everytime study until sleepy nia will log in to buy ppl back or collect money….ZZZzzzz now exam habis dee still constantly checking *shake head*

Exam over dee damn free, but then really hate the med faculty this year, first of all they make us start 1 week ahead of everyone else, and thennnow they tell us after exam on thursday we going back in action on monday next week. like wth 3 days free saja. Damn not fair lah!!! last year after every exam got at least 2 weeks hols mia, why why why become lidat??!! Furthermore I kena buat all the stupid Gen-ed homework lagi, 12 lab reports and 4 museum visit reports and 1 assignment to work on these 3 days…….literally no rest liao!!! hate it!!! Just so you guys know I realise that most of u have terms up to 14 weeks or whatever before having a holiday, unlike the 8 weeks terms we have, but nonetheless, a change is a change and I tak happy about it!!

After exams also had big big urge to play RO again(yeah the one that made me fail the past exam). to be honest I have opened the gamefew week prior to exam as well, but then touch for few mins saja lah, thought of failing didn’t keep me playing long. Exam habis flt like wanna play until syiok syiok, but then suddenly play the game feeling damn sien, need to do this and do that and that, so damn mafan, end up sit there do nothing also……

Been trying out a few games also(Uni network got upgraded, now can downloaded stuff much faster, but then dunno why seems like got less supplier) Gears of War and STALKER…….I think the gameplay really looked awesome, but sadly my GeForce 7400 cannot handle the graphics requirement, end up need to choose:

a)play the game at the current setting and lag like hell
b) play the game at downgraded settings and watch ugly 1995 pictures until die

end up both games also din wan play, damn them, GeForce 7400 still not THAT BAD okay, wtf u do ur game until so high requirement…….Then came across COD4(Call of Duty 4), was the last bowl of soup Goldilocks tried, Just right……. Fun, Reallly Realistic to modern warfare…..guys should check it out. Girls…..u can ignore the paragraph I guess.

Hostel now under new management, and new management say we need to decide whether we gonna stay through winter or not(keep in mind winter is midyear for aus). So now need to ask hean if his Skiing idea gonna work out anot, if not de hua……mummy and daddy heard about reunion happening back in peneng,………so………/gg. In other words hean u better damn gimme an answer soon lah. either way got plane tickets to buy and people to confirm with.

My 320 GB hard Disk wanna explode again dee……Damn I got serious media storage issues ler….. Last year bought 1 320GB HDD at July and filled it up by October…..This time…….bought at about Feb and Filled by April……*sigh*…….probs gonna buy another 320GB …..or maybe should go higher ar?……..

Okay lah I think this is a pretty good update of what’s going on so far…….Oh Shit!! gtg, someone jsut Bought my cucumber set again…..Doh!
