Rain Rain Go Away……

If you don’t already know, all hell has officially broken loose in NSW. Rain has been pouring for almost a week already, started since Friday I think and ever since, there either big rain, medium rain, small rain or cold wind. Don’t expect to see the sun very often cause everyday’s been cloudy, almost as if its trying to tell me something really really really bad is about to happen. And they actually said NSW has water crisis? as far as I can see we have a little too much water at hand now. In fact we have so much water that its actually flooding in Newcastle. Also just to let u imagine for a while how bad the winds are these days, if u held an umbrella on the streets, you could feel your umbrella taking flight. But I guess you all felt that before. Okay how about this impression, if you walked pass any garbage bin on these windy days, you’d see a bunch of “denatured” umbrellas stacked around the bins. School has been really cold, walking to classes jsut gets harder and harder, and don’t even get me started on waking up.

Exam season is in, everyone in college is busy studying, except for the late to be examined med ppl. We doing last minute work on individual assignments, well at least we doing something lah right? Well exams aren’t far for us also dee, less than 2 weeks left now(and yet I am blogging, ironic). What’s bad tho is that because everyone has exam season already, which means their 1 week study break has started, so nowadays when I walk to class, there’s almost nobody in campus, all the streets are completely empty, just puts you in such a “I don’t wanna go to class mood”.

Recently went to get immunization and serology checked(standard procedure for med student). Went first day appointment, I needed 2 shots, DTP and MMR. DTP for Diphteria Tetanus Pertusis, MMR for Measles Mumps Rubella, its amazing how they can put 3 vaccines in 1 mix but can’t put all 6 vaccines in 1 mix, therefore resulting in patient(me) having to take 2 shots instead of 1. Think I kinda like Aussie nurses better you know, when they give u an injection, they just go ahead and do it. Nothing like the ones back home, they are so afraid to inject you they take their dear sweet time pushing the damn thing in and dragging it out. Also they actually ask you to sit outside for at least 10 minutes before leaving, just in case you might have some mild side effects like anaphylactic shock which could kill you. Well day wasn’t over, was scheduled for another blood test and TB test the next day. And few weeks after that another blood test to see if I’ve responded to the vaccines, if not, I get more injections. Whee! Oh btw, for those of you who might not know, I think Malaysia has stopped giving BCG injections since 2003 or sometime lidat, something the Australian’s have chosen to do years before. Why? cause apparently the damn thing has a really really really low chance of doing anything at all. So yea we went through all those months of suffering and that large obvious scar for nothing, yeah pretty much nothing.

Okay some other milder news as well. Congrats to Ben finally landing on something solid. Congrats to me cousin who has just turned into a daddy yesterday, 2 more cousins expected to be mummies and daddies this year, what the hell is going on?  Congrats to fellow A level-ers who’ve finished exam. As for myself, I must be forgetting about the ever increasing exchange rate of Aussie dollars or something cause me just bought meself brand new iPod speakers. Costs like 130AUD, its probably not a Mac speaker since Mac iPod speakers make 130AUD seem cheap. But overall me very satisfied with the quality this speaker is giving. Oh yeah also worth mentioning, me completed all episodes of Ugly Betty as well already, so that makes 8 in my list now.

Okay I think this is a fairly long post for u guys dee, probably won’t blog until exams over. Been so long since I’ve been worried about an exam, not sure if I still remember how……….damn this is not working well for me……………seriously shouldn’t be this relaxed…………..

Well apparently I haven’t been updating the blog for over 2 weeks+ dee and it would seem that its getting people angry. So I’m here posting up 1 just because of that. Becaseu I dont’ really have much to say, I’m jsut gonna describe a little of everything to make it look like something.

Well June has arrived and its the month of exams. You’d think that after I’d watched all those TV series till their finale I’d stop and start studying. That was my plan too. Sadly I realised without TV series, I am completely non-functional. Ended up copying 2 season’s on Joey and 1 Season of Ugly Betty over, along with a few other movies. What the hell is wrong with me.

Oh yea, Many TV series have ended. Just wanna voice out on a few of them:

Lost: nice double episode ending, a boat’s finally come to save them, but doesn’t that mean they’re no longer “lost”?

Grey’s: As much as I hate to say it, was just plain ridiculous, from the chief of surgery thing, to the chief resident thing, to the wedding thing, to the fail exam thing, all so plain crap lah.

House: Ok this one is seriously pissing me off, its alright if u wanna get rid of the neuro guy from the show, and its okay u wanna fire the rich bastard off. But why the hell did u have to write the script in such a way that Jennifer Morrison has to resign? Damn tragedy.

Heroes: ahh now that’s a finale. Molly walker looking so damn cute. Hoping to see much more of her in next season. Would Peter Petrelli ever suck it up and put up a good fight with sylar?

Desperate Housewives: Well I’d say this finale was crap, but then again desperate housewives has always been just plain weird so yeah I’d say it was ok.

Numb3rs: Still missing season 3 episodes 5,19,21,22,23 and 24. Anybody?

Prison Break: Dam nice ending. Too bad doesn’t leave much opportunity for Season 3

Okay now that that’s done. talk about what I’ve been doing. Been learning the art of being “super”lazy. Yeah I know I was lazy before , being a med student and all……..u know how it is. But now I’m taking it to a whole new level. I’m actually skipping classess!!! well lectures to be exact. Ever since I overslept once and missed the morning lectures, everyday I wake up and I just have that strong tendancy to just forget it. I the past 2 weeks now I have probably missed over 6 lectures alreadyIn my defence on this awful behaviour, going to the lectures would not have benefit me much anyways, since I normally sleep for about 80% of the 1 hour lectures. SO whether I attend or not, I still sleep.

Everyone’s having exam. I’m probably gonna be the last among everyone. Most people finishing at about 25th or june or little more or less that time. Sadly i have to have my exams on the 28th. Which is like damn late. well, after having so much more of an advantage over the other courses, I guess its sorta 1 way for them to get back at me. Furthermore, I only have 1 exam and its only for an hour.

In other news, apparently our pak lah is getting re-married again. Word is going about how the marriage was hidden since january and only announced recently. worse part about this scandal is that the bride apparently, seem to be somewhat related to pak lah. Is it a trend marrying someone in ur family these days?and to think the guy’s wife jsut died not long ago. In his defence he gets the Big Guy to cover his ass “God has given me enough room to love more than 1 woman” Yeah and yet you’re not sharing that privilege with us are ya?

A new TV series coming out, its called Drive. Only 4 episodes so far, so if ur interested, better start now while its still a few episodes to catch up with. Its about a bunch of ppl paired up and participating in an illegal cross country race with a 32million dollar reward in the finish line. Sorta like a “less rules” amazing race. Participants need to do anything it takes to reach the finish line fast, this includes knocking other races off the road, flatting out other ppl’s tyre and stuff lidat. Check it out, quite interesting.
