1 Day trip to KL

Okay so here comes the first post.Hope it’s alright.Been long time since I alst posted a blog(think it was over a year ago).Anyways as most of my dear friends would know,a university has been so kind as to let me into their medicine course,and because of that I’ll be flying off soon to the University of New South Wales(We’ll be calling her UNSW next time).

So before I leave on the 11th of Feb,I felt a certain desire to meet up with whatever friends I have left in malaysia.Especially some of the closer ones that I know.So with that I planned my first idea to visit Hui Sien and Fern in their cozy little place down in suabng jaya.so the day starts off with an early move at 5am,follwed by a long 5 hours road trip.Nothing too special to report from the road really,pretty much just road…..road…..and I guess some trees ,I mentioned there were roads right?

So we reach subang at long last.Based on a map I obtained from Taylor’s college, tried to navigate my way around the little region of SS15.Apparently the stupid map printed in Taylor’s website hardly useful at all.Spent over 30 minutes going round the same places.Finding the business and American Degree Transfer Programme areas were easy enough,and yet why in the world is it so hard to find the darn College?Well apparently it was because when dad saw the INTI college on our way through the small region of SS15,gave us the feeling we’re far from Taylors still.Ironically enough,Taylors colelge lies just behind INTI.Nice Job,yeah……definitely.

so at about 10am managed to meet up with Sien walking up the streets trying to find a lost me.Since some people(Fern) couldn’t bring themselves to get up a little bit earlier,Sien took me for a walk around SS15.The place was actually a little bit similiar to Bintulu if any of u have been there,just that the shophouses and cars are more packed that’s all.Can consider it as a higher level of Bintulu.heh.After a big round around the region,Fern finally got herself to wake up.Twins (yeah Sien and Fern are twins)said go to 1Utama have lunch.Best part about going there?There this free but that stops in front of Taylors to bring you to 1Utama…..for free!!!This is extremely useful as I realised that my parents tried to make their way to 1Utama as well by car and they ended up going the wrong way(had to pay toll twice lagi)before they managed to reach.Lucky us we managed to arrive in 1Utama in no time at all.1Utama……quite big place lah,loads of branded shops around and also real fancy restaurants.We had lunch in this Italian restaurant(I’d give you the name but I can’t really well pronounce it,much less spell it).Ordered this Damn cheesy dish that goes with garlic bread,cheese was so rich,damn nice.And we also had this other one which I guess its Veggie+Chicken+Meatball+Pasta+Beef(Twins couldn’t eat beef,something about being buddhist,altho they did eat anyways).Just 2 dishes down, and we’re already quite full dee.Yes 3 people ate 2 dishes.Apparently fancy restaurants like that’ll chrage those dishes up to a total of 90+!! Toot.Not that I’m complaining really, I’d be glad to pay my share since it was good food.And then the twins go and do something stupid like pay the whole 90+ themselves.I dunno how you girls feel when guys treat you to dinner,but to have girls pay for guys……little bit weird feeling on my side.

Moved on to eat Baskin Robbins Ice cream lagi.Swt!! I was so damn full can oly order the junior scoop ice cream only.Darn for once I felt so full that basking robbins wasn’t that worth it.And yet it was Baskin Robbins wor………..*toot*.With a few calls from Sien, managed to meet up with Ginger(She made up that name right?)who was shopping with aunt.Managed to take a few group photos together in the Chinese New Year Decorated new wing of 1Utama’s Ground Floor.After dropping Ginger back with her aunt we were prepared to set off to Sunway College to check out Monash University(they have a campus over at Sunway).But then Sien just had to get this red top at Jusco.So made a little detour over to Jusco,Sien moved real fast with the top,which is more than what I can say for the other ppl there that day,but then again what to do lah,for some reason Jusco’s too poor to install locks in their changing rooms(Sien when I saw u calling for Fern that time,I was so close to offering you help dee,eheh,had no idea what help at that moment tho),and then there was this women who was trying out lingerie lagi,had to call her husband in to hold the door for her(damn man u sure got eye-candy liao).

Okay so finally made way to Sunway dee.Sunway…….looks damn nice ler……the Hostel looks so brand new and classy lagi,The college itself also looks real cool,cafeteria super big.feels like a really cool environment for college,it was Thaipusam that day and yet so many students still in studying in school(altho I also seen a lot of them plugging their laptops to wallplugs doing other stuff).Anyways Main purpose was to see Monash University,and explored we had,with minimal security we managed to infiltrate the building and observed …..what?……..3 floors was it?Check out the classrooms too,sad case.Let me put it this way,if you’ve seen Batman begins,rememebr Arkham Asylum?yeah the classrooms look like the rooms for “those” patients.But overall twins and I feel its way better than our colleges,but most definitely wun be as good as our Universities.

Okay so we explored all that with more free time lagi,go where?Sunway Pyramid loo….the place damn jam packed.Luckily used taxi no parking worries.Sunway Pyramid really put a lot of money to working on the designs,really give a greateratmosphere to that egyptian feeling.we looked down at the melting ice skating ring filled with over 50+ people skating round and round and round……….There also this really cool area where u can get a really good view of Sunway’s water theme park,the artificial waves looked really cool.A really nice view.

 

By now my feet are already starting to ache and it was getting quite close to “go home” time for me.so started to make our way back to Taylors college which was gonna be where my parents would pick me up.Spent the remaining time just sitting at starbucks.I passed the twins my second edition of Russel Peters and also managed to show them the “RK House no pork” comedy on youtube.

Soon 5pm came(had to come some time I guess) took a few last photos with the twins and left back for Penang dee.On the way home was so tired couldn’t think much dee jsut slept the whole way back home.Then back home the brain quite replenished dee and yet body says “Go to sleep lah you!!!”.So to sleep I did.As I lay there that night,since brainy up on my head decided not to rest,can’t help but think about the future.And so happends brainy just wants to emphasise on the negatives.Realised I was gonna be away for quite a long time,in a place with no frens,having to make new friends again over there.Which is quite alright with me,until brainy had to remind me that in the midst of all that joy meeting new friends,will I forget about my old friends?And also,will my old friends forget me?They kept me awake from 10 till 12 just thinking and thinking.Dunno what happened in the end but I managed to sleep 1 way or another.

Oh yeah and if you noticed,this whole blog goes all the way to the last minute of the 1st of february.so there’s not exactly a moment to write this blog that day.SO I have to admit that this blog was posted a little while after 1st of Feb.hehe
